Saudi Energy signs strategic agreements at LEAP 2026 to power data and AI centers
Saudi Energy has formally signed three strategic agreements to scale up energy supply and grid capacity for AI computing infrastructure and data centers across the Kingdom. The announcements were executed during its participation as a strategic sponsor at the LEAP 2026 technology conference in Riyadh.
The initial agreement was executed between National Grid SA and PIF-backed AI firm HUMAIN. The deal covers the direct delivery of high-capacity electrical power and specialized grid infrastructure for HUMAIN’s flagship AI data center project in Riyadh.
Simultaneously, the Saudi Electricity Project Development Company (PDC), a subsidiary of Saudi Energy, finalized a strategic framework agreement with digital infrastructure provider center3. The partnership focuses on co-developing energy solutions for next-generation data centers, strengthening operational integration between power capacity and digital infrastructure.
Rounding out the initiative, PDC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with technology company Huawei. The alliance aims to advance engineering collaboration, explore joint technical capabilities, and deploy optimized digital power solutions tailored for high-density compute environments.
These strategic agreements demonstrate Saudi Energy’s proactive approach to supporting the Kingdom’s digital transformation, ensuring grid resilience keeps pace with heavy computational demand and enterprise AI adoption.
