HONOR unveils its new HONOR Magic V6 smartphone
HONOR announced the launch of the HONOR Magic V6, a foldable smartphone that combines a slim design, durability features, AI tools, large-screen multitasking, and cross-ecosystem connectivity. The company positioning the device as a productivity-focused foldable with a large inner screen, AI-assisted workflows, and support for connectivity with Apple and Android devices.
The HONOR Magic V6 measures 8.75 mm when folded and 4.0 mm when unfolded for the white model, according to HONOR laboratory data. The same data places the weight of the white model at around 219 g, excluding the inner protective film. HONOR said actual figures may vary depending on configuration, manufacturing process, and measurement method.
The phone uses HONOR Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield on the outer display and UTG flexible glass on the inner display. It also features the HONOR Super Steel Hinge, which the company said has a tensile strength of 2,800 MPa and uses an AI-assisted bionic cushioning system developed through simulations to absorb impact and distribute force during drops and daily use. HONOR Magic V6 carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for resistance to water, dust, and high-pressure sprays under controlled laboratory conditions.
The device includes a 6.52-inch outer display and a 7.95-inch inner foldable display, both supporting adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rates. HONOR said the outer screen reaches a peak brightness of 6,000 nits, while the inner screen reaches 5,000 nits. Both displays also include eye-comfort technologies such as 4320 Hz PWM dimming.
HONOR Magic V6 is equipped with a 6,660mAh HONOR Silicon-carbon Battery. The phone supports 80W wired HONOR SuperCharge, 66W wireless HONOR SuperCharge, and wireless reverse charging.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, built on a 3nm process, and paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. HONOR said the hardware is designed to support gaming, multitasking, and productivity use cases.
The HONOR Magic V6 runs MagicOS 10 and includes a suite of HONOR AI Agents, including AI Settings Agent, AI Photos Agent, AI Suggestion, and AI Screen Suggestions. HONOR said these tools support content creation, meeting workflows, intent recognition, and contextual actions on screen.
For meetings, the phone includes AI Meeting Pilot, which supports reminders, real-time assistance, structured summaries, chapter-based review, and mind-map generation before, during, and after meetings.
HONOR also introduced Fast Flex, which activates a dual split-screen mode through a folding motion, and PC-level Multi-Flex, which supports three simultaneous apps. The company said Multi-Flex is powered by a Vulkan graphics engine and desktop-grade architecture, and can handle files larger than 1GB.
For cross-device use, HONOR Magic V6 connects with iPhone, Mac, AirPods, and Apple Watch through HONOR Share for one-tap file transfers, notification sharing, and dual-screen Mac workflows. The device also works with Quick Share for app-free file transfers between Android and compatible Apple devices.
HONOR Magic V6 includes Google Gemini support, allowing users to interact by text, voice, or image. The phone supports Gemini Live camera or screen sharing, and can help manage schedules, to-do lists, and actions through connected apps. HONOR said the device also includes a three-month free trial of Google AI Pro, with access to Veo 3.1, Nano Banana Pro, Flow, NotebookLM, and 5TB of cloud storage.
The camera system includes a 50MP Ultra-Light Sensitive Main Camera, a 64MP Ultra Sensing Periscope Telephoto Camera with CIPA 6.5-stop image stabilization, and a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera. The phone also includes AI-powered imaging features such as Magic Color 2.0 and AI Image to Video 2.0, which support real-time color grading and on-device motion generation.
The HONOR Magic V6 will be available in Red, Gold, White, and Black. HONOR said color availability might vary by region.
