HONOR 600 Series Lands: A Masterclass in Design Meets AI-Powered Performance
In an official launch event held in Dubai, HONOR unveiled the new HONOR 600 series, including both the HONOR 600 and the HONOR 600 Pro. The lineup focuses on refined photography and intuitive AI features, designed to make daily tasks smoother and content creation effortless.
During his keynote, Debo Zhang, General Manager of HONOR GCC, highlighted the company’s significant regional growth, noting a 53% year-on-year surge in smartphone and tablet shipments across the Gulf. He emphasized that HONOR’s latest innovations are elevating the daily smartphone experience through meaningful advancements in camera technology, performance, and AI-driven features. Furthermore, he reaffirmed the brand’s rapid scaling within the smartphone, tablet, and broader ecosystem markets.
Zhang further highlighted HONOR’s expanded partnerships with leading global apps and services, ensuring users have seamless access to their favorite tools and platforms from the start. He also outlined emerging trends in HONOR’s business strategy, such as pre-installation services and the scaling of B2B operations across the corporate, healthcare, education, and finance sectors. He also pointed to an expanded IoT footprint, with a portfolio that now includes various lifestyle and tech products, such as mouse pads, HONOR CHOICE earbuds, smartwatches, and the HONOR CHOICE Enbot Pet Companion.
The HONOR 600 series features an ultra-clear 200MP camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, utilizing advanced AI night algorithms to enhance detail and performance in low-light environments. The company added that the system is designed to support night portrait photography while maintaining skin tones and depth in challenging lighting conditions.
The AI-supported stabilization feature holds a CIPA 6.0 for the HONOR 600 and a CIPA 6.5 for the HONOR 600 Pro, while the AI Color Engine is designed to correct artificial lighting and deliver more realistic colors. HONOR also added that the Pro model supports up to 120x zoom.
AI integration sits at the heart of the HONOR 600 series user experience. The AI Image to Video 2.0 technology enables users to transform static images into short-form videos through natural language prompts and built-in templates. To streamline the editing process, HONOR has introduced a dedicated ‘AI Button,’ offering instant access to both AI Image to Video 2.0 and the ‘AI Photos Agent.’ The latter empowers users to add, remove, or modify image elements using simple natural language prompts. Furthermore, HONOR has partnered with Snapchat to debut an interactive filter designed to convert everyday photos into artistic masterpieces.
HONOR has prioritized both battery capacity and charging efficiency in the new 600 series. The devices have a 7,000mAh typical battery—the largest ever in the HONOR Number Series—complemented by 80W HONOR SuperCharge technology. According to the official release, this setup ensures extended endurance for content creation, streaming, and intensive multitasking, all while maintaining a slim and elegant design.
The HONOR 600 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, built on 3nm technology. According to HONOR, this processor achieves a 45% increase in CPU performance and a 44% increase in GPU performance compared to the previous generation. Thus, it supports AI workloads such as “AI Image to Video 2.0” in real-time, gaming, and multitasking, with AI-powered power management to optimize performance and prevent excessive battery drain.
HONOR explained that the MagicOS 10.0 system adds a range of smart features, including AI writing tools, smart summaries, “Magic Portal” for multitasking, deepfake detection, instant file transfer (HONOR Share), AI translation, and real-time subtitles. HONOR stated that these features are designed to enhance user productivity and provide a smarter and smoother user experience.
The HONOR 600 series offers seamless integration with Apple devices. HONOR stated that the enhanced “HONOR Connect” feature allows for notification synchronization with iPhone, file sharing with iPhone and Mac, enabling hotspot sharing, and viewing messages on Apple Watch.
The HONOR 600 series will be available in orange, golden white, and black, with pre-orders starting at AED 1,599. Purchases include gifts valued at up to AED 897.
