Dyson releases Pencilwash, its slimmest wet and dry cleaner yet

Dyson has unveiled the Dyson PencilWash™, presenting it as its slimmest, lightest, and most hygienic wet-and-dry cleaner. Introduced in Dubai on February 19, 2026, the device is engineered to deliver effortless manoeuvrability and hygienic wet cleaning performance for modern homes.

The Dyson PencilWash™ weighs 2.2kg, with a weight-in-hand of 380g, and features a 38mm-diameter handle designed for optimal comfort and easy storage. The cleaner lies flat to 170 degrees, enabling it to clean under low furniture up to 15cm in height while maintaining performance.

John Churchill, Chief Technology Officer at Dyson, said the machine reflects the company’s focus on making products smaller and lighter while improving performance. He noted that the PencilWash™ combines hydration, agitation, and extraction technologies to deliver hygienic cleaning using fresh water only, supported by a filter-free system.

Unlike conventional wet and dry cleaners, the Dyson PencilWash™ does not include a filter that could trap dirt and emit odours. The filter-free design reduces the risk of sludge, blockages, and performance drop, supporting consistent cleaning results.

The cleaner features a high-density microfibre roller with 64,000 filaments per cm² that spins rapidly to remove both wet and dry debris. Dirty water and debris are continuously extracted from the roller on each rotation. An eight-point hydration system delivers a consistent supply of fresh water to the roller, ensuring fresh water is used throughout the cleaning process.

The Dyson PencilWash™ offers two hydration modes for precise control across different floor types and stains. A 300mL clean water tank provides coverage of up to 100m² in low hydration mode. The device delivers up to 30 minutes of runtime on a single charge, with a swappable battery pack available separately for extended use.

Dyson stated that approximately 25% of the plastics used in the machine are circular materials, and the packaging is plastic-free.

The Dyson PencilWash™ will be available in the region from May, priced at AED 1,449 / SA 1,499, through Dyson websites and selected Dyson Demo Stores.
