Acer relaunches Packard Bell with new Tech it easy lifestyle lineup
Acer Group relaunched Packard Bell at IFA 2026, marking the brand’s 100th anniversary with a new visual identity, a Tech it easy philosophy, and a lifestyle-oriented product lineup led by the 14.5-inch DotBook laptop.
Packard Bell was founded in Los Angeles in 1926 and built its name around consumer radios, color television, and personal computers. The company said the relaunch returns to the same principle of making useful technology accessible to a wider audience.
Valerie Piau, EMEA vice president at Acer Europe SA, said Packard Bell’s 100th anniversary was the right moment for the brand to return to its roots. She said Tech it easy reflects a focus on technology that helps people study, work, and stay in touch at a fair price.
The refreshed Packard Bell identity is built around the dot, with a new emblem made from a constellation of dots that hides the letters P and B. According to the company, the dots are intended to represent cells rather than pixels, signaling technology designed around human use and everyday life.
Packard Bell said the new brand direction also replaces technical jargon with a warmer and more direct tone of voice. The brand will initially build its presence through digital channels, while four colors, orange, purple, green, and yellow, will connect campaigns and products.
The first wave of products is led by DotBook, a 14.5-inch laptop built for browsing, streaming, and everyday work. Packard Bell said the device recalls the early netbooks that helped make the brand part of family homes.
The new collection also includes:
- DotLoop: A suitcase vinyl turntable for the living room.
- DotTune: A speaker designed for home listening.
- DotLine: A colorful 4G feature phone for families and digital-balance seekers.
- DotLook: Audio glasses designed for music and calls without earbuds or a screen.
- DotShine: A ring light for creators.
- DotCombo: A keyboard-and-mouse set for desks.
- DotBass: Color-matching headphones.
Packard Bell also announced a partnership with Steasy, introducing a connected mini-steamer under the Steasy brand. The company said the collaboration extends Packard Bell’s everyday-first approach into the kitchen, with the first product from the partnership planned for European availability starting from Q4 2026 and further launches planned through 2027
