Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority has launched a new service called “TAHQAQ” that lets people check whether a shared link looks trustworthy before opening it. The authority said the goal is to help individuals handle forwarded links more safely and reduce the risks that can come from visiting suspicious URLs.

The service is designed for everyday use, especially when links circulate through chats and social media. The authority said TAHQAQ can scan links that users receive and provide guidance that helps people avoid links that may be used to access data without permission.

TAHQAQ is available through the national portal for cybersecurity services, “Haseen,” and is offered in partnership with Saudi Information Technology Company, the authority’s technical arm. Users can access the service through a dedicated WhatsApp number, or through the Haseen web link-check page.

The authority described TAHQAQ as part of its wider initiatives focused on improving cyber safety for all segments of society.
