Razer Unveils Smart Holographic Companion “AVA”

At last year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025), Razer introduced a pioneering concept for an AI esports coach. Today, the company is reimagining that concept. During its participation in the current Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2026), Razer announced its new project, AVA, an AI-powered desktop assistant that manifests to users as a 3D holographic image.

The smart AVA assistant offers a range of distinct features, boasting advanced AI-driven customization techniques and an adaptive learning engine. Consequently, AVA is no longer just a smart gaming assistant; it has evolved into a true digital companion supporting users in all aspects of their lives. For instance, this smart companion can organize daily tasks and provide real-time gaming strategies. AVA blends intelligence with a personal touch to deliver a natural experience tailored to user preferences.

AVA allows users to select and customize an animated avatar to their liking. Rendered as a 3D hologram, the avatar moves naturally and utilizes various features to create an engaging interactive experience, such as eye tracking, facial expressions, and lip-syncing. The roster of available characters includes exclusive Razer personalities like Kira and Zain, as well as esports legends. Users can choose from characters with diverse personality traits, ranging from bold and confident to friendly and beyond.

The AVA companion features an adaptive AI system—a sophisticated learning engine that memorizes user preferences to provide a more personalized interaction. It also possesses environmental awareness, utilizing a high-resolution camera and a far-field microphone for seamless communication. Additionally, a feature allows the avatar to “see” the user’s screen to provide instant advice or improve productivity levels.

The benefits of the AVA smart companion extend beyond gaming assistance. It can manage schedules and appointments, offer fashion advice, and plan evenings or dinners. It also assists users in data analysis and creative problem-solving, making it capable of performing numerous tasks to support users in their daily lives.
