The GSMA has chosen Doha to host the inaugural Mobile World Congress series event in the Middle East and North Africa. In late November, MWC25 Doha will take place, with MENA TECH being a media partner for this landmark event.

Organized by the GSMA in partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT Qatar), the event will take place on 25–26 November 2025 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). It will serve as a new platform connecting global innovation with the region’s expanding digital ambitions.

MWC25 Doha forms a central pillar of Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030, supporting the nation’s goal to accelerate digital transformation, attract global technology ecosystems, and strengthen its position as an international hub for connectivity, innovation, and advanced digital infrastructure.

His Excellency Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, emphasized that launching the first MWC event in MENA reflects Qatar’s long-term vision to build a sustainable, knowledge-driven digital economy aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Spanning three major halls at the DECC, the first edition of MWC Doha is expected to gather attendees from over 60 countries, including more than 40% at the director level and above. More than 200 speakers will participate in keynote sessions, summits, and thought-leadership panels, alongside an exhibition floor featuring over 200 exhibitors and sponsors. Confirmed companies include Cisco, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Huawei, Nokia, Dell, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Ooredoo Group, Vodafone Qatar, Mannai, PwC Middle East, ZTE, VEON, and the leading Qatari technology and AI services provider Meeza.

The event will cover three strategic themes: AI nexus, intelligent economies, and connected industries. These tracks will explore topics including AI-powered telecom, agentic AI, fintech and digital commerce, smart mobility, 5G futures, satellite and non-terrestrial networks (NTN), cybersecurity, intelligent infrastructure, and the future of digital economies. High-level programs such as the GSMA Ministerial Programme and the GSMA Digital Leaders Programme will bring together ministers, regulators, CEOs, and global policymakers to discuss spectrum strategy, digital governance, responsible AI adoption, and pathways for sustainable digital growth.

MWC25 Doha will also host the regional debut of 4YFN, the GSMA’s global startup platform, spotlighting over 100 startups from Qatar, the region, and international markets. These include innovators from sectors such as deep tech, health tech, climate tech, and fintech, alongside investors, venture studios, and accelerators participating in curated networking sessions and pitch platforms.

The Qatar Pavilion, led by MCIT Qatar, will present several national bodies, including CRA, QSTP, QRDI, QCRI, Qatar University, Visit Qatar, and government entities, showcasing advanced digital transformation initiatives aligned with Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030.

Through its role as Media Partner, MENA TECH will cover the inaugural MWC25 Doha to highlight the growing regional presence in the global digital economy.
