Saudi Arabia\u2019s e-commerce sales processed through “Mada” cards reached a record 30.7 billion riyals in October 2025, marking the highest monthly total on record and a 68% increase from the same month last year, based on data published by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).<\/p>\n
“Mada” is the national payment scheme owned by SAMA that connects bank-issued cards to payment infrastructure, including e-commerce acceptance.<\/p>\n
The October figure was about 12.4 billion riyals higher than October 2024, when “Mada” e-commerce sales were around 18.3 billion riyals, the data showed.<\/p>\n
Quarterly results also pointed to continued growth in digital checkout volumes. Total “Mada” e-commerce sales in the third quarter of 2025 reached 88.3 billion riyals, up 15.2% from the second quarter of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On a month-to-month basis, October sales rose 6% from September 2025, increasing by roughly 1.6 billion riyals from 29.1 billion riyals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
SAMA\u2019s data also showed October\u2019s total was 47.3% higher than January 2025, when monthly “Mada” e-commerce sales stood at 20.9 billion riyals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The figures cover payments and purchases made using “Mada” cards through e-commerce websites, mobile applications, and digital wallets, and they exclude transactions completed using credit cards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
