Dubai Municipality has introduced the \u201cSmart Municipality Eye,\u201d an advanced aerial monitoring program using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) to support environmental and urban sustainability across the emirate.<\/p>\n
The system offers real-time monitoring of 52 million square meters of green spaces, allowing the assessment of vegetation health, early detection of irrigation or pest problems, and prediction of potential risks before they occur. By integrating AI-powered analytics, the initiative supports predictive maintenance, enhancing the durability and long-term sustainability of Dubai\u2019s green infrastructure.<\/p>\n
To support the program, Dubai Municipality signed an MoU with Eanan Al Samma for Remote-Controlled Aircraft Manufacturing. The agreement emphasizes developing and deploying innovative drone technologies and advanced AI applications for municipal, field, and inspection operations\u2014strengthening Dubai\u2019s environmental and urban sustainability objectives.<\/p>\n
The MoU was signed during Urban Future Week at the Museum of the Future by Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, and Rashid Hamdan bin Khadim Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Eanan Al Samma.<\/p>\n
Under the MoU, both organizations will exchange technical expertise, develop new solutions, and test advanced operational models to assist Dubai Municipality in providing more flexible, efficient municipal services and progressive urban planning.<\/p>\n
