Vacuum Cleaner Manufacturer Dreame Unveils the Kosmera Nebula 1 Sports Car
In a surprise presentation that made waves at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2026) in Las Vegas, Chinese company Dreame—best known for manufacturing vacuum cleaners and smart home equipment—unveiled its first-ever electric vehicle. This move represents a bold step outside its traditional product range into the world of high-performance electric vehicles (EVs).
From Vacuums to Hypercars
Dreame, founded in China and initially emerging as a major brand for smart home appliances, announced plans last year to enter the EV industry through a new division known as Dreame Auto.
During the annual CES event, which serves as a global platform for showcasing the latest technological innovations, the company revealed the concept for its first electric car, the Kosmera Nebula 1, a high-performance sports model reminiscent of the French Bugatti.
Kosmera Nebula 1 Specifications

What distinguishes the Nebula 1 is not just that it marks Dreame’s debut in the automotive world, but its performance, which places it among the fastest electric cars ever made.
-
Powertrain: The new vehicle relies on four integrated electric motors producing up to 1,399 kW (approximately 1,876 horsepower).
-
Acceleration: It boasts the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.8 seconds.
These figures significantly narrow the gap with the most powerful electric vehicles currently on the market.
Key Exterior Features
The most prominent feature of Dreame’s electric car is arguably its streamlined design, inspired by science fiction with a clear focus on aerodynamics. Key exterior details include:
-
Front Profile: A low, sharp front fascia that reflects a bold, sporty character.
-
Lighting: Slim LED headlights that give the vehicle a distinct visual identity.
-
Aerodynamics: Smooth, flowing side lines designed to minimize air resistance.
-
Door Handles: Flush handles integrated into the body to improve airflow and enhance the luxurious aesthetic.
-
Roof: A wide panoramic roof that enhances comfort and adds a touch of luxury.
-
Wheels: Large wheels with a sporty design, reflecting power and stability.
-
Rear: An elegant rear profile featuring an LED light strip that gives the car a striking presence.
Bold Design and Global Ambition
Although the car is still in the Concept phase rather than commercial production, the design of the Kosmera Nebula 1 reflects Dreame’s ambition to compete in the high-end EV market.
The car features a low, streamlined body finished in an eye-catching dark green, with a carbon fiber structure and a fixed rear wing—features that enhance its exceptional performance at high speeds. Additionally, the absence of visible door handles points to innovative design concepts that may appear in future production versions.
Dreame and the Future of EVs
The announcement at CES 2026 is not merely the unveiling of a new concept car; it is a clear signal of Dreame’s expanding vision beyond the boundaries of smart home appliances. To this end, the company launched its new brand, Kosmera, specifically for the automotive sector.
Dreame plans to produce high-performance electric vehicles by 2027, with considerations to build a factory in Berlin to support its international ambitions and penetrate the European market with fast, luxury vehicles.
This move confirms that Chinese companies specializing in smart technology are aspiring to expand their influence far beyond home appliances in an attempt to dominate the rapidly growing electric vehicle sector.
