UAE’s 7X group launches a venture for autonomous transport in the Middle East

7X, the parent company of Emirates Post, announced the launch of AutoLogiX, a joint venture with Zelostech, a global leader in autonomous vehicle technologies.

The partnership aims to build an integrated logistics ecosystem using Level 4 autonomous vehicles to move goods between logistics hubs across the UAE, strengthening the country’s position as a global leader in smart transportation innovation and deployment.

In its initial phase, AutoLogiX will deploy fully autonomous, cabless Level 4 vehicles designed solely for cargo transportation—operating without a steering wheel or driver. This marks a significant step from traditional trucks and vans toward faster, safer, and more sustainable logistics solutions.

Initially, the project will focus on supporting EMX, 7X’s logistics subsidiary, with delivery operations in the UAE. It will then gradually expand regionally to the GCC and wider Middle East. Future plans include developing last-mile delivery services, mobile smart locker networks, and integrated logistics flows connecting to air freight, all aimed at improving delivery efficiency, enabling off-peak operations, and reducing emissions per parcel.

Tariq Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X, said, “AutoLogiX marks an exceptional achievement in transforming the regional logistics sector by leveraging advanced Level 4 autonomous vehicle technologies, making urban transport infrastructure smarter, more sustainable, and efficient.”

Kong Qi, CEO of Zelostech, commented, “Zelostech’s vehicles have already achieved over 50 million kilometers of safe operation, and we are on track to reach a global deployment of more than 20,000 units by the end of this year.” Then, he added, “We look forward to AutoLogiX collaborating closely with EMX to deliver safer, more efficient transport solutions that strengthen 7X’s position as a global innovator in postal and logistics services.”

This initiative further cements the UAE’s position as a global leader in smart transportation technologies. It aligns with the nation’s broader strategy to shape the future of supply chains, postal, and commercial services, while advancing the transition toward smart, low-carbon cities that drive competitiveness and sustainability across key economic sectors.
