As part of efforts to localize tech manufacturing and diversify the UAE economy, Dubai-based Kerno Enterprises signed an MoU with Intel Corporation to collaborate on high-tech manufacturing development in the UAE.

The MoU details plans to manufacture high-performance AI, universal, and edge computing solutions for local and regional customers in the UAE and the Middle East.

The collaboration supports the UAE’s “Made in the Emirates” initiative to boost local manufacturing and grow high-tech production.

The collaboration centers on co-developing enterprise-class servers powered by Intel technologies, optimized for government, enterprise, and AI-driven workloads.

The plan is for production to take place at Kerno’s manufacturing facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Kerno states that the facility is the first of its kind in the UAE and the Gulf region, with an annual capacity of 60,000 servers produced locally.

“This collaboration with Kerno underscores Intel’s focus on advancing local innovation through high-efficiency, scalable computing solutions,” said Taha Khalifa, General Manager, MEA, Intel Corporation. “Through this cooperation, we’re redefining how technology ecosystems evolve in the Middle East.”

“This collaboration with Intel reflects our shared goal of enabling secure, high-performance infrastructure built in the UAE,” said Christopher Caswell, CEO of Kerno Enterprises. “We are committed to creating digital platforms that align with the UAE’s technological and economic growth ambitions — designed, built, and supported right here in the Emirates.”
