Huawei Unveils Mate 80 Pro and WATCH GT Runner 2 at Global Launch Event in Madrid

Huawei introduced its latest devices during the global launch event “Now is Your Run” held in Madrid, Spain. The HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro headlined the event, alongside several new wearables and smart devices.

Mate Series Returns to the Global Market

The Mate 80 Pro marks the return of the Mate series to global markets. The device features an upgraded True-to-Color camera system designed to maintain consistent color accuracy under complex lighting conditions.

It also introduces the new Dual Space Ring design, second-generation Kunlun Glass, performance enhancements, and advanced AI capabilities.

WATCH GT Runner 2: Return to Professional Running Watches

Huawei also unveiled the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2, marking its return to the professional running watch category after five years.

The watch features a new 3D floating antenna architecture aimed at improving positioning accuracy. A smart positioning algorithm continues tracking route and distance even during signal interruptions.

A new Smart Marathon mode provides race management tools for runners.

Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge was introduced as the global ambassador for the device.

WATCH Ultimate 2 and Band 11 Series

Huawei also introduced:

• HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2, now available in green, maintaining its diving and outdoor capabilities while adding golf-focused features.

• HUAWEI Band 11 Series, featuring a larger, clearer display and integrated health and activity tracking.

MatePad Mini and FreeBuds Pro 5

Huawei revealed its first compact tablet, the HUAWEI MatePad Mini, featuring an 8.8-inch form factor designed for portability.

The company also introduced the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 5, described as the first TWS earbuds in the industry equipped with dual-driver AI-powered noise cancellation technology.
